What Comes After

The cove does not rest.

It only waits.

Years from now, the lighthouse will stand the same—stone and glass and memory—while the world around it changes shape. New faces will arrive. New questions will be asked. Some will listen.

Others will not.

When Piper returns, older and steadier, she will no longer be learning how to stand watch.

She will already be doing it.

And when a stranger comes to Willowbrook Cove—one described differently by everyone who sees her—the light will have to choose what it reveals… and what it protects.

The Isle will not appear.

But something else will.

The watch continues.
